Middleberg Public School is growing and needed a full campus overhaul. The 2022 Bond project includes a 10,500 SF addition as a part of a full campus master plan. This addition serves as the spine of the new campus and includes much needed classrooms, an ICC-500 compliant Storm Shelter to accommodate 220 people, and new centrally located administration. Middleberg will now have much needed security upgrades throughout the campus. Adding a drop-off lane and additional parking to the East keeps the student from having to cross parking lot traffic to get to their classes. Widening the bus loop separates the buses from the cars making pick-up and drop-off flow without intersection. Relocating the playground away from the highway reinforces the safety of a true campus while adding more recreation space. Joining the buildings together with the classroom addition keeps the students and staff from having to brave the weather. A covered drop-off area protects the students outside while the secure entry and impact resistant windows protect the students inside. The master plan that the community voted for in the 2022 Bond not only provides for the current needs but gives much needed organization for the entire future growth of the campus. The project is currently under construction and scheduled to be completed by Fall 2023.
